Giewont 1894 m a.s.l.

Giewont massif is the symbol of Zakopane. In the opinion of many Tatra enthusiasts┬áit is best to reach ÔÇťthe Sleeping KnightÔÇŁ from the side of the Little Meadow Valley, which is simply beautiful, especially in autumn. At the top of Giewont there is a 15 meter metal cross, founded by the inhabitants of Zakopane and mounted in 1901 to commemorate the 1900 anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ. Form the top of Giewont you can admire a beautiful view of Zakopane and several dozen Tatra peaks, also Slovak.

Our trip starts from the hotel ÔÇô transfer to the entrance┬áof Little Meadow Valley. We walk down the valley, passing scenic and pictureque Ma┼éo┼é─ůcka Clearing on the way.

After little climb to the Kondracka Pass we reach the summit of Giewont.

From Giewont trail leads to Kondratowa Coomb where we stop for the lunch. Then we continue trekking through Kalatówki, finally to Kuźnice. Transfer back to the Hotel.

The route is just partly demanding and quite long. But worth for unforgettable views!!
